Yoga classes

Teaching yoga is an honour and a privilege which I offer with respect and compassion.

I completed my Yoga Teacher Training with Integral Yoga. Integral Yoga can be practiced by anyone of any age or condition and the structure of the class offers benefits to the entire body. It offers a complete system for transformation not just physical but also mental, emotional, and spiritual. The Integral Yoga class brings the attention inwards through linking movement with breath. The classes take the student to edge of ease and comfort in their body, challenging the body yet not causing pain or resistance. This way the poses or asanas offer maximum benefits without causing injury. In addition to my Yoga Teacher Training my other qualifications, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, naturally weave into my work.

Group Classes

Part of the joy of teaching yoga is brining the community together for connection with spirit, with joy, laughter and learning. I teach in various places in the community to include, Winterbourne, Winterbourne Down, Iron Acton, Coalpit Heath, Yate, and Frampton Cotterell. Types of classes include;


Beginners Integral Yoga class

These classes combine not only physical postures but also deep relaxation techniques, breathing practises and an introduction to meditation. Benefits include;

  • Greater sense of calm and wellbeing


Gentle yoga

Take time out of busy lives and minds with supported restful yoga poses held for longer periods, followed by a long, nourishing deep relaxation and traditional breathing practises.

  • Deeply relaxes the body.
  • Quietens the mind.
  • Cultivates compassion and gentleness.
  • Improves mood.
  • Allows body full opportunity to heal.

Women’s Yoga

An intimate beginner’s yoga session offering yoga tailored to the female body in all stages of life, postnatally, peri and post menopausal and all that is in between.

  • Promotes self acceptance.
  • Offers a female support network.
  • Strengthens the body in a sustainable way.
  • Regulates hormonal systems.
  • Improves mood.
  • Supports post birth recovery.


Yoga for Children and Young People

These varied and fun classes can be aimed at any age group and introduce the practise of yoga in an accessible and imaginative way. Each class includes movement, breath work and an introduction to meditation. I have witnessed yoga transforming the emotional disposition of young people providing, space, peace and open-ness in addition to a sense of personal achievement and a positive focus, taking the young person out of the mind and into the body. I have also used yoga as a very effective tool for relaxation and grounding to prepare young people for learning. Additional benefits include;

Individual Sessions

As well as group classes I offer 1:1 therapeutic sessions which are bespoke tailored packages that take into account physical limitations and personal goals. These transformative sessions can support with many issues from injury rehabilitation right through to mental health issues.

The sessions can be for adults or children. They can also be a great opportunity for someone who wants to start yoga but lacks confidence to begin in a group. I offer these sessions both in the home or at the Old Rectory Clinic in Iron Acton.
